i am a lucky girl
14/12/04 19:21Today in the mail I got a lovely Christmas card from
dine. When I got home to my parents' house, they gave me the mail that had come for me while I was at school, as well -- a lovely card and Heathers dvd from
tstar78, and
stormheller sent me two tiny stuffed penguins, along with a long bunch of really cool random Canadian stuff (among them a Canada pencil, a tiny mountie figure, and a beaded Canadian flag thing). It was absolutely wonderful and generous of all of you.
Oh! And I didn't get a chance to pimp them properly on the date yesterday, but
estrella30 and
dsudis both wrote me absolutely glorious stories for my birthday! Despite my, you know, so inconveniently placing the date right in the middle of finals and challenge season. Estrella's Stop. Fast-forward. Rewind. is this completely ridiculously porntastic Fraser/Kowalski wonder, and Dira's Sunday's Child is this *long*, wonderfully written story that fulfills emotional kinks I didn't even know I had. It's "Frannie/RayK, Fraser/RayK, post-CotW babyfic", but I would rec it highly even if you look upon one of those pairings and the baby thing askance, anyway.
And my family got me the second season of due South and Lilo & Stitch on dvd, so between those and the Joan of Arcadia taped episodes from this season, I am going to have lots of watch this week.
But right now I am going to play more Text Twist and read Jennifer Crusie novels and then perhaps work on ripping the Christmas songs I promised
brooklinegirl.
ETA: GAH, I don't believe I didn't put this in the entry to begin with, but -- LJ Fairy, thank you so much for your generosity, whoever you are; I really appreciate a lot.
