i <3 sunny
26/12/04 19:13Happy ending = what the hell?, but otherwise I enjoyed this thoroughly. Sunny Baudelaire is my hero. (I think an icon of her plus her subtitles would make an awesome icon -- one of the close ups, probably, either calling someone crazy or telling Olaf not to mock her.)
Klaus and Violet were extremely well-cast, too, I thought, and Jim Carrey actually did not bother me at all. The whole thing was beautifully designed, as well, costumes and sets and even the credits.
Yay, good movies.
Also, the first person to say a word about "talented-genius-brother-and-sister-siblings in difficult situations who don't or can't trust anybody but each other" gets my deathiest glare. That only happened twice.
I hope the sore throat I have today doesn't mean I'm getting sick -- I am crossing my fingers and hoping it'll be gone in the morning.
Off to read more of Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell, I think.
