I am SICK.

I HATE being sick. (Stupid brother, with his being-sick when he visited on Christmas Eve! I blame him!)

*sniffles*

*blows nose*

Time to camp out on the living room couch with blankets and dvds and books, and take way too many naps, I guess.

*sniffles again* Poooooooorn? Comment fic cures a variety of ills.

It was all Fraser’s fault. If Fraser didn’t make a habit of going around *licking* things all the time and putting stuff in his mouth that normal people would never think of doing--in public, no less--it never would have occurred to Ray to reach up and lick the droplet of water that was sliding down behind Fraser’s ear and onto his neck.

In fact, it wasn’t so much something that occurred to Ray to do as something that just happened without conscious thought or consideration. But see, that was the thing, the thing that made it *really* Fraser’s fault, because obviously Fraser licked things so much that it had just become, like, acceptable to Ray that this was something that people did. Even though he thought it was gross, and even though he gave Fraser crap for it all the time.

But there was no other explanation for why, when he saw that drop of rainwater sliding out of Fraser’s hair and down the side of his neck while he was taking off his coat and hanging it in Ray’s closet, Ray just leaned forward, put a hand on Fraser’s shoulder to steady himself, and let his tongue lap it up off of Fraser’s skin.

The next thing Ray knew, Fraser’s hands were wrapped around Ray’s biceps and he was being pushed up against the closet door and Fraser was staring at him like he had suddenly sprouted porcupine spines instead of hair. So, what, Fraser was the only one allowed to lick things now? That didn’t seem fair or Mountie-like. Then Fraser’s head was dipping down and his tongue was snaking along Ray’s collar bone and up his neck to his chin.

Oh.

Oh, well. Clearly licking things so much had been good practice for Fraser’s tongue. Maybe Ray should quit complaining in the future, since Fraser’s tongue was now doing amazing, wonderful things to Ray’s ear and Ray suddenly, desperately, wanted to reap even more of the benefits of all that practice.

Of course, that didn’t stop him from saying, as he felt Fraser’s tongue lick along his jaw towards his mouth, “You know, Fraser, this is all your fault.”

Ray’s eyes fell closed as he felt Fraser’s breath puff against his lips. “How so, Ray? I believe you, as they say, started it.”

“Nuh-uh,” he managed to get out. “You’re the one who’s always licking things. I was just…uh…following your example.”

“Ah. I see,” Fraser’s lips curved into a smile against Ray’s. “In that case, I take full responsibility.”

“Yeah, you sh—“ was as far as Ray got before Fraser’s mouth was on his and his tongue was licking its way inside. Ray’s last thought before losing himself in the kiss was that he was never going to give Fraser a hard time about licking things again.
