Ray Kowalski/Missy Pantone (due South/Bring It On)
So Ray and Fraser are the ones that get called in when the weird shit starts going down at the college cheerleading convention downtown. And boy, is that not a sentence Ray expected to be coming out of his mouth anytime ever, but apparently God smiles at everybody sometimes, even Ray Kowalski.
Of course Fraser spends the whole time completely earnest, completely straight-faced, completely *Mountie*, like he doesn't even notice that the hotel is fulled to bursting with young, hot, athletic, *flexible* girls.
Not that Ray is a dirty old man or anything -- hey, he knows they're out of his league, and jeez, he wouldn't know what to do with a twenty-year-old if he *had* one, these days -- but he has eyes. Which is apparently more than he can say for Fraser. Those two girls over there are hanging all over him, touching the uniform and cooing over Dief and talking about how they've never been to Canadia before, isn't it cold?
Ray can't help snorting at the whole thing. He jumps a little and whips around when someone else laughs behind his back.
It's this thin, stacked dark-haired girl with way too much eye make-up. Ray remembers seeing her around earlier with the tiny blonde one who was freaking the fuck out about everything until Fraser calmed her down. That one had been exactly Ray's type twenty years ago, except for the being so highstrung Ray practically had an ulcer just being around her for five minutes.
"They're some piece of work, huh?" Eyeliner Girl says, nodding her chin toward Fraser and touchy-feely twins.
"You could say that," Ray admits.
Eyeliner Girl grins at him. "I'm Missy. You got a light?"
There's a no smoking sign right behind Fraser's head, but Ray drags out his lighter. "Uh, isn't that bad for the -- stuff?"
"Oh yeah," says Missy, leaning in to him with her cigarette. "If Torrance saw me she'd kick my ass."
She moves closer to him, even after he's got it lit, and the way she's looking at him makes it click all of a sudden -- the kid's flirting with him.
Giving an old man a thrill, he thinks, but what the hell -- she's cute, she looks like she has a sense of humor. He's got time to kill before Fraser's going to escape from his questioning, so he looks down at her, gives her his slowest, wickedest smile. "I'm Ray."
