IMPORTANT NOTE TO SELF:

WordPad has an undo button. You already knew this.

What you did not notice until, say, about two minutes ago is that it HAS NO REDO BUTTON. So when you just undid your entire story? It's now gone forever, loser.

I think this is the kind of stupidity that once you do it once, you're pretty much not going to do it again, though. And at least it was only a couple hundred words.

Sigh. *starts from scratch*

There's a free word processor download off ff.net. It's not the only place...I think it's called Open Office. I just downloaded a copy, so I don't know how well it works. It *has* to better than Wordpad... sorry it won't help you with your current frustration.

Oh, I like wordpad and notepad when I'm not doing something stupid like tonight. I use word or wordperfect for writing papers and stuff for school, but usually for fiction writing I really need the other ones. Text files, usually.
