Internet, why must you fail me and confuse me so? I went to the due South transcript site to look up some dialogue from "Hunting Season", because I want to doublecheck if my recollection of Ray canonically saying "Christ on a bike" was right. The transcript doesn't have either of those words in it, so I decide to google Ray Kowalski "christ on a bike" to see if it was from a different episode, possibly, or maybe if there was one specific fanfiction story that got that phrase stuck in the fanonical part of my brain. Except then the google search brings up two due South/CKR quote pages, both listing that phrase as from "Hunting Season."

BAH. Internet, do not be sucky on me! It makes me sad! Give me consistent answers! This is my punishment for trying to have an eye toward canonical voice, I guess.

...I could actually go watch "Hunting Season" to double-check, I guess. BUT THAT WOULD BE GIVING IN.

I looked too, and you're right!! How frustrating :( Now I have the urge to watch dS ;) I do love Rayisms, though: like "Christ on a crutch" and "oh-dark-thirty" *sigh* I wish they had more seasons- 4 is not enough.

He does say "Oh, Christ on a bike" but TBS edited it out. I was at the Due South convention in 1998 (A Cop, A Mountie and a Convention) and they (Alliance) brought copies of the four episodes that had not yet aired in the US at that time to screen for us, which was totally cool of them.

Ray said that- I wrote it down not two seconds after he said it and I was all excited to tape the episode off of TBS when they eventually aired it. HOWEVER... Ted Turner and his Nazi censors TOOK IT OUT of the version that aired on US TV.

But, I know that he said it. Yes you were right.

I can confirm that yes, he does say Christ on a Bike during the scene where he sees the homeless woman hanging out across the road, but I think some stations edited it. It only stuck in my head because a)Mom! The cute guy swore! and b) The BBC left it in, whereas they cut out the word 'darned' from Neighbours earlier in the day.

A friend of mine says "Jumpin' Jesus on a pogo stick!" which always charms me into laughing no matter what the situation is.

*eyes you* Sad, like, "ooh, poor erica!" or sad like "that's really pathetic"?
