Edited to add: Also, on a somewhat related note, does anyone have a copy of "Something's Coming" they could send to me? I rewatched the movie with speshope this afternoon, and I'm sort of in love with that song. It's not on iTunes, obviously.

Also, also, I totally forgot the official site has the little fake map of the island. Not officially canon, of course (the Loyalist even has a different name on it, a lot of the distances don't make sense with the driving, Emily's run is oddly done), but still pretty interesting. Dan's house is apparently right *there* by the Watch.

Huh. *ponders* Vidding etiquette is a lot more confusing than fic, in some ways -- where you link, what you're supposed to say, bandwidth, blah blah blah. Plus, vidding is one of the things I think I'm generally out of the loop with. Hmm. Do you know any other ones besides H's?

You never link directly to the vid; you could link to the vid announcement,though; or to the vidders index page. It's maybe also worth linking to the wilby site itself, for the totally uninitiated!

An actual link to the official site is a little too "HEY, POWERS THAT BE, LOOK! FANFICTION!" for my tastes, I think, but yes; good points.

Yeah, this is pretty much me being completely irrational, I think. But I am pretty consistent in my irrationality -- it's not different from lj, but I can't think of any times when I have linked to official sites in public posts while speaking directly about fanfiction. There's no link in this entry to the map, for example.

Basically, I am paranoid about really stupid things that are not worth the energy.
