minervacat's that's where all of the gangsters live is awesome in the way that makes me unable to find the words to describe it properly. Wonderful Ray Kowalski voice, beautifully chosen details, and a sense of place and its importance that you really get in fanfiction very rarely.

*sighs happily* Every time a new good writer enters the fandom, it brings a little bit of joy in my bitter withered old heart.
