If -- right this minute, no time to think, choose right now -- I had to decide to change one thing about "Call of the Wild," it would be Frannie's ending. Because, honestly, I pretty much love most of CotW (even the really, really stupid bits) and my main reaction is one of joy.
But, Frannie. Oh, Frannie. Frannie totally has a fucking arc, is the thing -- because, yeah, lusting for Fraser, blah blah blah, but the thing is that Frannie's goal, Frannie's one major desire, is consistent throughout the series. Frannie wants to do things; Frannie wants to better herself; Frannie wants respect. "Vault" is my favorite episode of hers for a reason; it's not put better anywhere than it is there.
And CotW even wraps up the Fraser obsession bit nicely, showing her letting him go, ready to move on, finally. And the idea of her wanting to be a cop is totally set up, first in "Odds", and then in "Hunting Season" -- which, dude, second-to-last episode; how much easier could it have been to use the connections already there in the series for her epilogue? That's basically what they did for Huey and Dewey, after all.
In conclusion: FRANNIE *heart*.
