Wow, when someone like me goes four or five days without posting, it almost makes you think I'm doing exciting things, doesn't it? Heh.

I am currently a member of exactly one mailing list. It makes me glad, on a regular basis, that I was one of the people who came into fandom in the middle of the big shift to livejournal. (There are plenty of interesting discussions, which is why I read it; I just appreciate the fact that livejournal allows me to hear the smart people and/or people I like without dealing with the people who make me want to beat them with sticks.)

The sister is currently at school -- today and tomorrow are both half-days, and then she's done for the year. She and I are making our way through both her newly acquired Newsradio dvds (I LOVE YOU DAVE FOLEY) and the first few episodes of Deadwood that we rented from Hollywood. This afternoon we are going to see Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Yay, media consumption!

The sister also let me install Sims 2 on my laptop. Oh, sweet sweet crack.

I assume most of you already know about it, but I feel a need to pimp [livejournal.com profile] midsummer_santa anyway. [livejournal.com profile] brooklinegirl is not only pretty, but she's smart, too! Fic exchange for any CKR and/or PG projects! Wilby Wonderful! Twitch City! Last Night! Men with Brooms! Come play!

After reading this entry, it has probably become clear that the reasoning behind my lack of entries is much more of the "wow, I'm really boring and unfocused" variety. Also, library books.

Yay! You're not dead! You're just resting!

And thank you for the pimp. Pimp Pimp Pimp. One really can't have too much of that going around. Wheeeeeee! *nudges you to sign up and offer threesomes*

I am going to sign up! I am waiting to see if I can find the tape I supposedly have somewhere of Slings and Arrows and see if I can finally see that before I choose my fandoms to read and write.

I was so happy to see that the show doesn't seem too dated and it's funnier than I remember it. When Mathew makes the Buttafucco mistake I totally cracked up.

Hee. It's just as funny as I remember, actually -- though it was actually one of my favorite shows ever, so I had high expectations. Actually, watching the first season is interesting because you can really tell they haven't quite gotten into the timing/ensemble groove all the way yet.
