schmerica: (benton fraser)

[livejournal.com profile] lalejandra, this does not count as the fic I promised you this weekend, since it is a) very very short and b) neither gritty nor grimy. Hee. Whatever, it's for you, anyway.

On Sunday mornings, Fraser sleeps in -- until sunrise, at least. Ray is always still asleep when Fraser awakes, and Fraser extracts himself from their bed. He runs himself a bath, and sits and soaks in the warm water, reading his novel, until the water is tepid and cool. Occasionally, Ray will wake up during this time, and drag himself into the bathroom to sit on the toilet seat and talk to Fraser, half-asleep. Most of the time, however, Ray is still sleeping, even as Fraser drains the water from the tub.

In the kitchen, he puts Ray's coffee on to brew, and then begins putting together the pancake batter; the coffee has just begun to make pleasant gurgling noises when the first pancake hits the griddle with a hiss. Ray has his timing down to an art, appearing out of nowhere just as Fraser finishes up the batch and plopping himself down at the table to bury his face in a large mug of coffee.

Ray consumes several cups of coffee and picks at a few pancakes; Fraser drinks a large glass of juice and eats most of the food, making up a plate for Diefenbaker with the leftovers.

After breakfast, Ray goes to the gym. Fraser does some laundry, tidies up their apartment, takes Diefenbaker to the park for a long run. Ray is home before him -- energetic now, sweaty, active, jittering with life, hardly able to stay still for longer than a few seconds at a time. He attacks Fraser against the wall, or on the couch, or in their bedroom, kisses him and kisses him and kisses him until they're both breathless, using all of Ray's excess energy till they're both spent with pleasure.

Afterwards, when Ray is collapsed atop of him, breathing heavily, Ray says, "So, uh, you got any plans for the rest of the day?"

"I--" Fraser starts, and then tries again. "I think I do. I'm not sure I remember quite what they are..."

Ray licks his neck.

Hee. I love it because it's actually so weirdly indulgent for him.

Oh, I *adore* this. It's just - Fraser! Bathtub cuteness! And Ray all sleepy and with no energy and then the gym and THIS:

Ray is home before him -- energetic now, sweaty, active, jittering with life, hardly able to stay still for longer than a few seconds at a time. He attacks Fraser against the wall, or on the couch, or in their bedroom, kisses him and kisses him and kisses him until they're both breathless, using all of Ray's excess energy till they're both spent with pleasure.

which kills me with LOVE and cuteness and YAY.

What a great ficlet to start the day with. *hearts*
