notes from today's portland excursion:

1) Livia delivers on her promises: SGA really is the show of Snarky Bitches. Awesome.
1a) Sheppard and McKay don't particularly strike me as totally gay for each other, but I can see the slash as believable.

2) Fantastic Four, while not by any means a good movie, is reasonably amusing and entertaining, certainly much more so than it appeared in the ads.

3) Livia has declared Duck in Wilby Wonderful the ultimate comfortador. She also apparently has a theory about the complentary attraction of comfortadors and woobies, but I didn't get all the details.

I kind of thought the same way the first time I watched it. The thing is, after the utter gayness of Ray and Fraser (not to mention Clark and Lex) everything else seems sort of understated, I think.

That being said, I came for the slash and stayed for the snark. Also, Sheppard is just empirically hot.

*giggles* I don't know if it's an understated thing, or just that different pairings hit different people differently. I mean, I would never have noticed House/Wilson without the "OMG GAYEST THING EVER TO GAY" on lj, either, and to a lot of people they're even more obvious than a lot of the pairings I see.
