top five meme, cont'd
20/7/05 12:46I am bad at this meme, because I always want to add a long and complicated disclaimer of indecisiveness to all of my responses. That said, answers to all the questions thus far:
Five YA books
1. The Westing Game by Ellen Raskin
2. From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler by E.L. Konigsberg
3. The Golden Compass by Philip Pullman
4. Sorcery and Cecelia by Patricia Wrede and Caroline Stevermer
5. The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants by Ann Brashares
Five scents
1. Frying onions
2. Strawberry
3. Coconut
4. Fresh basil
5. Library and/or new books
Five porny dS fics
1. How Ray Got His Groove Back by Bone and Aristide
2. Homemaking by Res
3. Hanged Man by Ces
4. Hawks and Hands by Dira
5. Comfort Zone by Lalejandra
Five television episodes
1. Twitch City, "Planet of the Cats"
2. Buffy the Vampire Slayer, "Prophecy Girl"
3. due South, "Victoria's Secret"
4. Freaks and Geeks, "Pilot"
5. Veronica Mars, "A Trip to the Dentist"
Five pairings and/or scenarios I'd like to see
1. A long background stories about Fraser's childhood that start from before his mother died and go all the way through his adolescense and young adulthood and then all through the show until happy ending with Ray Kowalski time.
2. A Buffy/Giles story that magically hits every single one of my buttons for that pairing, even the ones I don't know I have.
3. A really really kinky dirty F/K porn story with bootporn and leather and pearl necklaces and incestuous threesomes and fisting and rimming and basically every random-ass kinky thing you can think of, in a way that actually makes a bizarre amount of sense.
4. Fraser/Frannie that is BAD and WRONG.
5. Hope/Curtis fic for Twitch City.
Five action movies (note: I have no idea what actually counts as an action movie, so I'm answering almost at random)
1. Lord of the Rings
2. Raiders of the Lost Ark
3. X2
4. Pirates of the Caribbean
5. Tombstone
Five comedies
1. Princess Bride
2. Young Frankenstein
3. Clue
4. Josie & the Pussycats
5. The Royal Tenenbaums
Five fruits
1. Strawberry
2. Raspberry
3. Orange
4. Peach
5. Apple
Five aspects of Ray Vecchio
1. His hotheadedness/capacity for violence. Ray Vecchio is never hotter than when he is beating someone up or threatening to beat someone up.
2. His protectiveness -- of Fraser, of his family, that whole sort of consummate big brother thing he carries around.
3. The fact that in his head, he seems to really believe he is the smoothest guy that ever lived.
4. Despite #3, he actually is genuinely charming.
5. Because I am a helpless and devout fangirl and love Benton Fraser to death, I have to count #5 as how much Ray Vecchio obviously loves and cares about Fraser. I may not slash them, but their friendship is pure.
ETA: Stealing the following meme from
slodwick, because I am just that bored and lacking of content today:
Casting Call
I think its inevitable that as we read each other's journals we create mental pictures of each other. Post this on your own journal to find out who your friends see when they read about your life.
Two Rules:
1. The person must be in the movies or on TV (but doesn't have to be an actor/actress). The person can be specific to a role (e.g. Jennifer Elhe's Elizabeth Bennent) or just the person themself.
2. You have to post a link to a picture of said person in the comments.
These castings can be based on things in the person's personality or on physical traits you know they have.
Also, keeping Slod's addition at the end -- Um. This might be harder for you who've met me, so... maybe just someone who reminds you of me?
