Fraser says, It's important to do anything you do with your entire self.
I say, What does that mean?
Fraser says, That means that whenever you are acting, that action should be the only thing in your mind.
I say, Is this one of those wacky zen things or some crap?
Fraser says, When I'm on guard duty at the consulate, you watch me and wonder how I can stand so still, don't you?
I say, Yeah.
Fraser says, I try, in everything I do, to have my full concentration in that thing. It goes for sentry duty; it goes for law enforcement; it goes for you.
I say, So what you're saying is, live in the moment.
Fraser says, What I'm saying is, when I am kissing you, I'm not doing anything else but kissing you. You -- you have my total concentration.
I say, What else would you be doing?
Fraser says, Oh, I could be thinking of any number of other things, Ray. Surely that's not so rare.
I say, I guess.
Fraser says, And yet, I would miss so much then. You -- Ray, do you *know* what the curve of your ear does to me?
I say, My ear? That's weird.
Fraser says, Your ear. It has a delicate and appealing shape. In fact, though, Ray, all of your body -- it fascinates me.
I say, You're fascinated by dirt, Fraser.
Fraser says, In some ways it's indulgent, I suppose. But if I do my all in all my duties, then why should I not be allowed to do my all in my pleasures, as well?
I say, No reason I can think of.
Fraser says, If I want to spend hours kissing you--
I say, I got no problem with that.
Fraser says, I want to know every inch of your body. The hair on the back of your neck. The tattoo on your thigh. The curve of your spine. Your toes. The deep lines of your face--
I say, Fraser, toes and wrinkles aren't sexy.
Fraser says, I beg to differ, Ray.
I say, *Fraser*. They're not. Cocks, they're sexy. Arms, maybe, and hands. Mouths. Toes and wrinkles are gross.
Fraser says, May I...?
I say, Hey, do whatever you want.
Fraser says, As I said, Ray, your body-- I think your body is perfect. It's you, with all your flaws, your uniqueness, your-- essence.
I say, Mmm. Uh-huh. Don't stop.
Fraser says, Oh, Ray.
I say, Yeah, Fraser, come on--
Fraser says, Stay here with me, Ray. Be right here.
I say, Fraser, there is *nowhere else* I'd rather be.

22/7/05 07:58 (UTC)I love this more than the Carrie stories, I think.
The reasons I like it have to do with my squishiness, I think -- HATE!!!! -- but. Hm. Okay, it's like this: a lot of times in dS, the way Ray and Fraser are written when they are talking about their feelings reminds me kinda of like a thirteen year old girl and how thirteen year old girls think people interact.
This, though, reminds me of Ray and Fraser, and pulls me into their moment. Which is a sexy one.

22/7/05 22:28 (UTC)I love this snippet and this style. For some reason, it makes me feel very close to Ray, even closer than the usual first person. Why dropping the punctuation and exposition should do that I don't know, but it does.
And the dialogue is just perfect-- you totally nailed their voices; I can hear all of this exactly as they would say it.
Yumyumyum *smooch*
