this is tragic. reunion i can torrent but slings & arrows i cannot. *shakes fist at torrenting world*
i was going to say that i don't have any trashy shows. apparently i totally forgot desperate housewives. oops. this is why things shouldn't go on summer hiatus, i guess. i have the memory of a goldfish.
This is going to be the first year since I went to college that I'll actually have a TV. Except I still won't have cable, so I don't know if I'll be getting any channels at all, and if so, which of the major networks will be coming through. It's exciting!
get rabbit ears! they totally worked for me -- i got nothing without them and with them i got like seven channels. which was sadly overwhelming, and led to me doing things like watching dharma and greg over dinner.
the show is, I'm afraid, way too high on my cheesy, predictable and somewhat lame meter. I also could never watch soaps and stuff like Desparate Housewives, though.
See, I don't hate all the characters! Well, I don't like Jenna, and Aaron hasn't done anything to impress me yet, but Carla is the cutest thing ever, and I don't mind Sam or Craig or Will.
I was actually making little squeaky noises halfway through the show as I predicted all the plot points. I'm kind of frightened.
I hatehatehate Craig because of his "it's so hard for me to ask you to PLEAD GUILTY TO VEHICULAR MANSLAUGHTER in my place" speech to Will. I really want to like Will, but I got pissed at him for not being able to distinguish between "sleeping with someone you shouldn't have" guilt and "driving drunk and KILLING SOMEONE" guilt and for being dumb.
I didn't really dislike any of the girls on their own merits, but I dislike the Lifetime movie clicheness of their roles -- Plain Girl Who Isn't Really Plain But Is Just Wearing Overalls, Class Slut With Tragic Past, and Seemingly Together Girl With A Tragic Secret.
BUT I'm hoping that since we're going to be covering one year each week, the cliches and stupid love triangles will give way to people. Regardless, I'm so tuning in next week.

9/9/05 13:55 (UTC)At least for the first few episodes, anyway. I hate pretty much all of the characters and the dialogue is painful, but I'm weirdly invested.
