Tonight I made myself Rome icons.

Icon #1:

Keywords: rome: well this sucks

Icon #2:

Keywords: rome: writing is hard

Icon #3:

Keywords: rome: woot lesbian sex

I also made like five different attempts at making an icon of Vorenus and Pollo saluting Caesar in his tent at the end of this episode, but they all turned out horribly sucky -- the scene is really dark, and all my attempts at brightening it looked awful. Alas!

hee! Love the mommy issues one! And I so 0wned my RL friends, calling that pairing a week before it happened. Bitches don't know their homoerotic subtext. So sad!

Heeeeee. I totally thought it was going to STAY at subtext -- I think I am way too used to watching broadcast tv instead of HBO -- and then the first scene of this episode was like "wow, is that supposed to be that gay?" and then the next scene with the two of them answered that question!

I've become too used to watching HBO. I want to subtext to become text, like how Carnivale and Six Feet Under paid off with actual girl on girl kissage. I get so disappointed with "regular" tv. Denying bitches!

(Though, I guess it does happen outside of cable occasionally, I must admit. BtVS, Once and Again, Dawson's Creek, One Tree Hill, and The OC were regular TV shows I've seen where we had a character get introduced as straight, but then later was revealed to like teh gay. And I think we got one on Desperate Housewives as well... )

This is true! I guess it's just outside of cable it's a REALLY BIG DEAL. I have never seen the OC in my life, but I knew all about Marissa's lesbian exploration way, way ahead of time.

Yes, that's the big thing outside of cable. It has to be a big production. On Showtime and HBO, it's just matter-of-fact. If two people of whatever gender have textual chemistry, they might get it on or they might not. You never know!

Which is nice.

(I'm still pulling for a moment of Roman manlove. We shall see...)
