Um, so, in my tiny little poll the other day I managed to misspell both "ketchup" and "Fanny Price". And nobody mentioned either of them to me. I'm glad to be warned what sort of friends you people are. You would probably let me go around with my skirt tucked into my pantyhose, too, wouldn't you? Or with a giant piece of food on my teeth! Jeez louise. I'm sure my burning hatred looks much less sincere when it appears I don't even know her name, too, right?

Here is what I don't understand about bit torrent: if there are however dozen people seeding, then how come it only connects to me to people who have 93% of the data distributed among them? Because now I have been stuck at 93% and it seems likely never to change.

Only a week until Thanksgiving! In the spirit of the holidays, I need your advice, people: which of my user icons would benefit most from a dorky Santa Hat? I am too indecisive to figure it out myself.

This time tomorrow I will be on the bus to Portland to see liviapenn and ficbyzee. Yay!

I was under the impression that "seeders" were people who had the entire file, and leechers were the ones who didn't yet. It says there are still 80 seeders along with the hundreds of leechers. Hmm.

Hee, and I understand about the spelling! Mostly I blame the people who are close enough to me to be horribly, horribly honest.

No, a seeder is just someone who's distributing the file. Generally, you're distributing the file as soon as you get a piece of it (i.e. leeching & seeding at the same time). If you look at your downloading program, you'll probably notice it lists kilobytes UPLOADED as well as downloaded.
