schmericaI think the Happy Holidays design on the top of the livejournal page is pretty, but I also suspect I will be rather sick of it by the end of the month.
Today I watched the first three episodes of Arrested Development from the first disc of the dvds. It was pretty awesome, as you guys have been claiming. But mostly it reminds me of![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)

I just finished Shadowheart, by Laura Kinsale. Thoughts:
1. I actually liked this quite a bit more than I would have expected from the description.
2. After my comment the other day about how the vast majority of sex scenes in romance novels are incredibly boring, it was kind of shocking to be reading a book where the sex scenes are not only interesting and important to the story, but way tightly caught up with the characterization.
3. The bit outside the church when they're first in Monteverde, when Elena refuses to take confession? Gorgeous. She would miss him in Heaven. She would grieve.
4. But that is not my favorite part, because there is no way my favorite part cannot be the plot point stolen from The Princess Bride. Because it does not get better than that, people.
