Ways to Tell You Are Reading a Story by

1) It's really, really short.
2) The climax of the story is something really teensy-tiny and seemingly unimportant on the surface -- a moment, a glance, a piece of dialogue -- that turns out to actually be AMAZINGLY DEEP AND INVESTED WITH SIGNIFICANCE OMIGOSH.
...That's all I got. If you guys can think of any more, let me know -- I really don't think I'm self-aware enough for this sort of meme, so it's quite likely readers would know better than I would.
