[livejournal.com profile] pearl_o: so the entire due south fandom besides me seems to find Ray Vecchio way more interesting after he's gone away and had to be undercover as a mobster for two years.
And I am like "...You are boring now. BLAH secret pain and hardship and changing personalities.
I liked you when you were a nice guy."

[livejournal.com profile] fox1013: Hee!

[livejournal.com profile] pearl_o: /is different than other people.

[livejournal.com profile] fox1013: poor monkey

[livejournal.com profile] pearl_o: Perhaps that is reason number One Million and Eighty Three why Ray/Ray doesn't work for me!

*shrugs* Well, the thing is, when you're writing Ray Vecchio after "Call of the Wild", you sort of do have to deal with the fact that he's been in this really stressful place, being a horrible person and probably having to do horrible things for the past however long. And it's a perfectly fair thing to explore and figure out, and I can see how other people find it fascinating, but it is very much Not My Thing.

I think I misunderstood what you meant... you don't want to read post-CotW with baggage!RayV? which is actually fic I have never seen, but then, I have seen very little RayV-centric fic.
