Hey, so, people who are smarter than me: considering that my photoshop was working totally normally last weekend, when I made that Twitch City cover for [livejournal.com profile] brooklinegirl, is there a reason why my text has now gone all wonky?

That is what happens when I try to use 72 point Arial font. Um. That is not right, obviously. Is there any way to fix this? Or do I have to keep on typing in ridiculously large numbers to get legible text?

(For those who are curious, that says "this text is much too small for me to read.")

Check the dpi for the image -- if it's set to 300 or something equally high, then the font size will be comparatively small.

Definitely check the resolution on your canvas.

Also, check the percent high and wide numbers, outlined here in red. They should read 100%, but if they're really small, it will throw your text off.

I have that problem quite often... I'm not sure why. I usually just open a new default canvas, which would probably have the same effect as the suggestions mentioned above. Only, you know... makes sense. :)

You know, I had tried opening new things like ten different times over the past day or two? And no change. And then I just asked posted this entry, and went to do stuff? And SUDDENLY IT WORKED.

Technology, man.

Yeah, my photoshop will just randomly do that too. I usually have to restart or just leave it alone for a few days. It's freaking weird.

PS: If we were supposed to meet today, I apologize because I had it in my head that we weren't but it was a vague vague notion that could have been possibly wrong, but I didn't want to call you to find out because if I were right, you were doing something and I didn't want to bother you. Oh my brain.

Omigod, THANK GOD. Because I just remembered right now that I didn't call you to cancel today -- I've been sick and miserable and holed up in my room, and I am so glad you weren't waiting around for me. Huzzah for coinciding flakiness!

We have like... a flaky psychic link. Crazy.

I am waiting around campus for my roommate, but I have the computer lab. So it's all good.
