1) Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson are a really perfect example of two people whose weird voices I love individually but who sound oh my lord godawful doing duets. (With each other, I mean. I love plenty of duets they do with other people.)

2) I am sort of totally in love with Duck MacDonald. The fact that he's gay is totally not a problem. I just want him to marry me and bring me flowers and smile at me and hug me when I cry and tuck his chin on the top of my head. I don't think that's so much to ask.

2a) The fact that he's fictional might be a problem, I do admit that.

3) OH DUCK.

SIGH. Love.

Dude, he is totally the most lovable guy EVER. Like -- he knows just what to do if you start crying when he jokes at you! And he sees everything and knows what's going on with you before you really do! And if he is interested in you, he is blunt without actually being forceful! And. Um.

Dude. I seriously love him THIS MUCH. He is even better than RayK, because I feel that if I ever met RayK in real life, blows would likely be exchanged. Whereas Duck, you know, he would probably be really quiet and then say something wise in this all-knowing way and -- hey, guess what I just thought? Duck needs to be in kidfic! With Dan! It would be bloody AMAZING. You are not allowed to contradict me on this point.

Man, I would not dream of contradicting you, but the sight of Duck holding an infant would quite possibly cause my ovaries to explode. I'm just saying. (I cannot imagine Dan being able to handle the situation, somehow, though. Woobie!)

Maybe Duck could babysit for Emily when she gets herself knocked up in another two or three years!

...I am sitting here contemplating "my ovaries explode" and "when Emily gets knocked up in another two or three years."

The first? Ow. Very messy. And this would be exploding from what precisely?

The second? Jesus God, I want to write a massive fic where this is the Main Conflict In Wilby That Everyone Is Talking About. But I do not have TIME, and why is there suddenly NO DUE SOUTH IN MY BRAIN?

Lovable men carrying adorable little babies = HORMONAL SURGES, man. Like picture of Fraser (http://pearlo.illuminatedtext.com/images/baby.jpg) with the little tiny baby and HIS HAND on ITS HEAD omg.

Second, I would TOTALLY read that fic. Because, you know, I can see it going either way with Emily? But her ending up doing the same exact thing as Sandra without ever meaning to is totally a possibility. Do it!

Well, of COURSE her ending up doing the same thing as Sandra is totally a possibility. Sandra is her MOMMY. And everybody ends up like their parents, really, unless they are really really phenomenal people and can somehow manage to avoid the natural-desire-to-please-mommy and the equally natural desire-to-annoy-mommy-to-death, either of which may not be particularly healthy. It's just possible that Emily will choose one of Sandra's attributes that's not, um, getting pregnant way too young. But it is even probable that she will, and of course then ALL of Wilby's going to have a mild crisis type thing because YAYAY SMALL TOWNS.

Dammit. Now I HAVE to do this fic.

OMG IT IS FRASER WITH A BABY. (Also your mood pic. That is Fraser with a baby as well. A "very unhappy" baby. Adorable men talking to babies = hormonal surges as well.) *sighs* Paternal instinct is, like, the cutest thing in ALL THE WORLD. Even awkward paternal instinct, which I suspect Dan will have.

Uhm. *stops spamming your journal and writes fic instead*
