HAHAHA. She totally is. Though I must confess, I am distracted from this most of the time because of how Crichton's acting. Sucks. Rocks. He is the classic pretty boy in scifi shows -- hired to look pretty, but not necessarily to act.

Hee, I have not noticed a problem with his acting yet! Maybe I'm just getting into the show enough to not notice? Also, uh, I don't think he's really that pretty. He has kind of a Cro-Magnon face thing going on.

Mmm -- I started watching fairly late, and I haven't seen much of the early ones. Maybe he HAD acting skillz, and they wore off. Or something. Or HE started getting distracted by Claudia Black's hotness.

I think he's more supposed to have the pretty rippling biceps, rather than have a pretty face. Which is why the form-fitting black t-shirts.

IMHO, his acting skills are excellent - you don't get to see anything special until towards the end of season 1 (as with much about the show), but then he turns out to be capable of some pretty impressive stuff.

And yeah on the not-so-pretty-per-se - his looks are kind of Generic American TV Hunk No. 564,098, which is something that profoundly does not do it for me. BUT. The brain behind them turns out to be spectacularly speedy and warped (both in the case of the character and the actor, who is a huge geek), and the end result is unexpected hotness. It's like Stealth Weirdness.

Very hot indeed. And as good as it is in the first season, it gets so much better as you go on. People kept telling me that when I watched the series for the first time last fall and it now behooves me to pass it on. :)

*mirth* OK, I have to say, Farscape fans are utterly adorable. I'm looking forward to getting the DVDs and falling head over heels myself into the fandom at some point, because dang, y'all puppy piling is completely cute.

And I have to agree... Claudia? Hotness. Total hotness.
