Okay, you all mentioned the CKR had an episode of Supernatural thing, but nobody told me it had Stella Kowalski and Maggie Mackenzie from dS, and Sandra from Wilby Wonderful, and Fred and Darla from Angel, and Cadman from SGA, and a Backstreet Boy wife, and Aunt Zelda from Sabrina the Teenage Witch! I'm sorry, people, but I'm going to have detract points for all of that.

(That's some s1 Smallville levels of guest-starrage, too. Oh, Vancouver.)

So, what is the split in the fandom like between Sam girls and Dean girls? ficbyzee indicated to me that she thinks the fandom prefers Sam, which surprises me, but would continue my winning streak of Fandom's Guy 2 being Guy 1 in my heart (see: Clark Kent, Benton Fraser, etc).

By and large, my experience has been that fandom is more focused on - and more empathetic to - Dean. In the interest of full disclosure, while I love Dean, I suspect I would technically qualify as a Sam girl, so there may be a bit of that thing going on where we never think our BSOs get enough love ... but even stepping back and looking at it objectively, I'd say that my experience of fandom has been Dean is overwhelmingly Guy 1. Honestly, I've been pleasantly surprised all ... something like two times ... I've found someone else who seems to be more of a "Sam girl" than a "Dean girl," because focus on Sam has been so rare.

This could, of course, be a function of my friends list, and larger fandom could be totally different.

Huh. See, whenever I do not love RayK, I am really really scared of him. This may have more to do with CKR's body language than with RayK's character. It's just -- the "wild card" thing. It does not make me feel very safe. Whereas Fraser is the sort of person I can rely on to be awesome all the time, even if he's not necessarily being perfect. And he's all very very messed up inside and I need to go hug him but he's still functional, even though he's messed up, so I am also proud of him. Also he reminds me of myself WAY more than is normal, considering he's a Mountie and with a dead dad and dead mom and dead everybody.

And RayV is fantastic because he gets pissed off and scary at appropriate junctures, and I can pretty much predict what he's going to do, So I am not freaked out when he say, punches Zuko in the face, because this was a long time coming. Also I appreciate his particular sense of humor. So he rocks, but I don't understand him as well as I understand Fraser.

My ranking? Fraser > RayV > RayK. (This doesn't mean I am good at envisioning F/V. Just because they are the two top awesome all by themselves does not mean they will be awesome together, or that they want to be awesome together.)

Judging from my flist, it seems like Dean gets more love than Sam. You're certainly not the first person I've heard say that Sam is rather boring and whiny (hell, I've thought it myself enough), and I get the impression that while people like Sam well enough overall, Dean is the one more fangirls squee over.

The Dean love has been totally on the upsurge the last month or so. Before that, there seemed to be much obsession with Sam. Route 666 converted a whole lot of people I think bc damn was that love scene hot. :D

Personally, I go back and forth ep by ep. I think they're hottest when they're busy trying not to die. I mean, they both have very pretty pouts, but the emo gets a little thick sometimes.
