Yesterday I watched Wedding Crashers, for the first time since it was in theaters, and seeing it now there were two main differences that struck me.

First, the ability to fast forward through every scene with Will Ferrell is a godsend.

Second, when I had originally seen the movie, I hadn't seen Alias yet, so Rachel McAdams's evil boyfriend didn't really make an impression on me. But this time, I spent every scene with Bradley Cooper covering my mouth and saying, "Omigod Will Tippin what have you done?"

Sydney would so not approve. Nor would Jack. (Although, wow, that really makes a fun mental game, doesn't it? Every crappy movie or romantic comedy in existence is suddenly more entertaining imagining Jack's response to everyone involved.)

Finally, here is a question that does not have anything to do with the rest of this entry: my humanities professor posts her lecture notes from class online, which is wonderful. But unlike every other professor I've known who does this, she doesn't convert the files to pdf first, but instead leaves them as ppt. Now, I do not have Powerpoint on my computer. Is there any way I can read these files, or convert them to something else I can read?

Microsoft has made a Power Point Viewer program, like the Adobe Acrobat Viewer, but I don't know if it's free.

There are websites where you can upload a file and have it converted to PDF for free. Lemme see if I can find the link...
