This is going around again, and I find it strangely fascinating, so.

Ask me anything you want, and I'll answer truthfully.

Hee. If you count filesharing and mp3s and bit torrent, the answer is: very much so, yes.

If you don't, the answer is: not on purpose! Although there has been at least one time at the grocery store when I left and realized there was an item in my shopping cart that the cashier hadn't rung up, and I didn't go back in to pay for it. THAT PEPPERONI TASTED OF SHAME.

Do you prefer Wulfstan or Aelfric?

I have to admit that I do not have a preference -- in fact, although I could tell they were obviously Anglo-Saxon, I had to go Google their names for more details! I'm still in my first year of Old English, though, and in the entire year we've read thousands of lines of poetry, and one very short prose homily in all that time, which is perhaps why I have not come across them.

1. Why is Fraser SUCH a woobie?

2. Favorite country?

3. The most perfect evening would involve...

1. OMG HE JUST IS. I mean, the whole everybody he has ever loved dying and/or abandoning him thing helps, and the force of his convictions and how deeply he feels things helps, and his innate goodness, and the fact he's such a freak, and how unearthly pretty Paul Gross is -- but mostly? It is one of those things it is not for us to know.

2. Hmmm. Here is the thing: I have only been out of the United States ONCE, and that was a trip to Vancouver when I was, like, seven, so the US is the only country I really know about in any real way. But in a general way, I am really fascinating by basically any country in the high high high latitudes -- my favorite places are those that slip into the Arctic Circle or, down in the Southern Hemisphere, come closest to Anarctica.

3. Hmmm. It would involve other people -- probably [livejournal.com profile] fox1013 or [livejournal.com profile] hobbledehoy or someone else I have known forever and feel absolutely comfortable with, and there would be tasty food, and lots of talking, and lots of giggling, and maybe cuddling quietly on the couch and watching movies.

1. Why is Ray Kowalski so attractive?

2. Is it ever ethical for an RA (or similar dorm-supervisory-person) to carry on (romantically) with one of his or her residents?

3. In your measured opinion, is John Sheppard ticklish?

4. What should happen in the dS linguistics AU?

1. He is a tough guy and this big dorky loser both at the same time. Inside, he's a poet. Outside? Shake, bad guys, shake. And also, CKR is SEX ON A STICK.

2. I'm trying to think of an exception to tell you, but ... it really is kind of sketch, dude.

3. Um, probably not? I don't think he experiences natural human emotions. Because he's gross.

4. ...Porn? And sexy linguistics geekiness? *cough*

1. truer words were never spoken. *makes inappropriate advances towards Ray Kowalski, CKR, and possibly also [livejournal.com profile] pearl_o* (finals make me inappropriate, what can I say?)

2. I concur! (this is, for the record, not actually something that happened to me, but it happened around me, and I was left going all 'bwuh?' and seeking advice from all.)

4. yes, but I was kind of wanting of the specifics. I mean, writing is hard, yo—I can't just say "and then Fraser talked about sociolects. and was sexy. and afterwards, Ray took him back to Vecchio's office and fucked him up against the wall, the end!" Or, well, I could, but it wouldn't be much of a story.

Still, I will SOLDIER ON, because I am a brave little toaster. school will not devour me, really it won't.

Man, I never have an answer to this question! Seriously, I was sitting trying to think up a name for a diaryland account one day, and for some reason I had various things of jewelry in my mind, and pearl-o was the first thing that popped out.
