random things!

1. I realize that supermarket packaged sushi has very little to do with actual real high quality stuff, but the spicy imitation crab rolls I got from Safeway are kind of tasty anyway. Though I am sad that the little package of ginger is so small, because there's only half as much as I want. Alas.

2. I found a song that makes me want to vid Crichton. DAMMIT. This is sad because it's so never going to happen. It makes me long for one of those vid auctions and lots of money.

This will be twice I've pimped this vid today, but have you seen andrastewhite's Jack Bristow vid, American Tune (http://www.altogetherelsewhere.net/blueshades/vids.html)? I don't even watch the show, and I love it. I'm not sure how spoilery it is, though, so you should probably wait until you've caught up on the show. :)

That Tenenbaums vid is so odd. It made me realize that RT is simultaneously the worst and best source for a vid -- it's full of gorgeous images, very little dialogue, and lots of character moments, but the problem is that they're all set to iconic music because it's probably a music video in and of itself. So Margo getting off the bus to anything but "These Days" and Richie slitting his wrists to anything but "Needle in the Hay" really messes with my mind.

Huh. Weird that I don't have the same reaction to fanfic which utterly changes the source.
