1) Arrested Development is still an amazingly awesome show. In case you, you know, were living under a rock.

2) Meg Cabot's voice is exactly the same in pretty much all of her books. This is okay, because the fact that Heather Wells sounds exactly like all her teenage narrators except for the sex-having doesn't make it any less incredibly enjoyable.

3) Age of Bronze: A Thousand Ships is pretty cool. Mmmmmm, Trojan War. *orders second volume from amazon*

4) Sleater-Kinney is going on "indefinite hiatus". WAAAAAAAAAAAH.

5) The heat has broken here, oh frabjous day, calloo, callay!

6) You're pretty.

7) This morning my alarm didn't go off. I like up fifty minutes later and stared at horror at the time. It was set for the right time -- am, not pm. The alarm was turned on. And yet, it didn't wake me up. There was no noise coming from it at all. The only explanation I can think of for this is that it went off, I turned it off, and then turned it back on, but I am 99% sure that didn't happen. When I set it for two hours later, it went off perfectly, and I didn't miss that class.

dear pearl,

Hi! I am brooklinegirl! I promised to send you Julie and Julia, oh, months ago now. And did not! But I am getting my act together, and will do so on MONDAY FOR REAL.

Are you back at school? Shall I send it to that address?

LOVE!

BLG!

*beams*

Dude, if S-K's last Portland show is this summer at a time when there's any chance I could get up there, can I drag you along?

Age of Bronze: Sacrifice is EVEN BETTER. Agamemnon's character is brilliantly fleshed out and kept consistent so that his motivations for doing what he does (which I won't spoil, but, uh, you probably know what it's going to be) are much more believable, almost *understandable*.

(ALSO THERE IS AN EXCELLENT SCENE WITH PATROKLOS BUT I WON'T SAY ANYTHING MORE, since you clearly don't need to be tempted into buying it!)

Heeheehee. Does that count as spoilers for something a couple months older, or for something, like, 3000 years old?

Also, I totally made the amazon.com order five minutes after this entry. But I needed to get the Slings and Arrows dvds too, so it's okay!
