Okay, and today in comics reading I got to the Outsiders -- which, Zee had warned me about the unevenness, but I got to #25 or so and the superboring "Insiders" arc before I gave up -- but in what I read? OMG, dudes! How had I not known about ROY before? I am tempted for the second time in two posts into making fake little html hearts.

♥ ♥ ♥

See?

Zee also gave me Green Arrow #32 to read (aka, "Roy and Connor go to a strip club"), which, you know, didn't hurt the love any.

(Heeheehee, throwing soup.)

(I haven't read any Green Arrow but the Quiver collection, and that issue, but I really seem to like Roy and Mia and Ollie all a lot. Is any of it worth reading?)

Here is a random scan from Runuaways v2 #3. Oh, Karolina. So cute! So gay!

I am still bummed you had to runaway to marry your stupid space fiance and stop intergalatic war. *sniffle* Not cool! (Also bumming: Indigo turning into an evil supervillain and then dying in the "Insiders" issues. She was my favorite after Roy!)

On a completely unrelated note, [livejournal.com profile] helenish's just-posted entry about Joe Flanigan's acting choices on SGA fills me with unholy glee.

Have you read Outsiders 28? It's the one piece of shiny in the crap Insiders arc. Shift is woobie and Grace and Anissa... well, the gay gets *really close to text,* there.

Oh, oh my god, you need to read onward in GA. Wait until you get to the end of Archer's Quest. Do not let anyone spoil you.

I am such an Arrow partisan it's not even funny.

Ollie has always been one of my favorite superheroes. Yep, he screws up, sometimes bigtime. And his parenting skills leave much to be desired. But his heart is huge which is always a very good thing.

the superboring "Insiders" arc
That's a shame you found it so awful; "Insiders" is one of those stories that cemented my love for the characters.

In GA stuff, you'd probably like "Archer's Quest", which is like #18-21. Something like that. Ollie goes around gathering his mementoes with Roy in tow.

Roy = Magnificent. YES.

Awww, really? Seriously, I was like "blah blah blah pointless crossover blah blah blah boring fight scenes blah blah blah favorite characters turn evil blah blah blah." I, uh. Have a shortish attention span for that sort of thing.

*underlines note to self to find more GA* ROY.

*sniffle* You saying this is like me telling you that Fraser's boring and doesn't like Ray very much.

...okay, not really. But *still*.

Roy is also all over a series, now defunct, called Titans. Do you want the 1970s' story where he's a heroin addict omg?

*twitches a LOT* Gloss, that is not a fun game!

See, the solution here is for you to tell me why YOU love it, so I can appreciate it, even if I don't agree!

I don't think I'm quite in love enough to deal with the 70s art yet, but I won't be surprised if I am there soon!

I will work up an explanation. The answer right now is me waving my arms a lot and pointing at Shift and then at Kon and making fish-mouth gaping silent squeals. AND TIM IS HURT AND CALLS DICK AND IT'S PRETTY. Indigo betrays Shift and that's paralleled by Kon breaking Tim's heart arm and it's all so *hurty* because this is exactly what Kon feared would happen. And Dick, too, because he didn't want to get attached to his team (which was Roy's secret plan for his BFF-with-benefits *pets him*) and look what happened! Fucking Luthor.

I don't think I'm quite in love enough to deal with the 70s art yet
I don't blame you. Do check this pic out, because Roy's pretty and hanging his head.

I am sorry for the bad game. Never again. *pinky swear*

Oh yes, Roy! He is one of my favorites. He's so pretty, and gay for Nightwing. And his relationship with Lian is simply adorable.
