I couldn't sleep: unexpectedly, words came out. I'm scared.

Batgirl/Robin and rated smooches -- just like last time! Only not. 250 words of post-Batgirl: Year One snippet behind the cut tag.

Initiative

She doesn't intend to let Robin kiss her again, but she can't say she's totally surprised when it happens. The first time is in an alley in Gotham, right after they knock out five guys, all on their own, while Batman's across town. That time, she puts it down to adrenaline. That works for the next time, too, and the third. After that, Babs isn't so sure. She likes Robin, she does, and she knows it's wrong to lead him on, but...

He walks her home after patrol one night, which means she pushes him against the walls of the shadows near her house. His eyes close right away, and he leans in to kiss her, so sweetly, but she stops him with her palm on his chest.

"Does the boss know you're fooling around like this, Pixie Boots?"

Robin opens his eyes and *grins* at her. "Batman knows everything. Haven't you noticed by now?" He looks serious for a moment -- as serious as the Boy Wonder seems to get, at least, which isn't very. "He hasn't told me to stop," Robin says, raising his chin up, "and I ... wouldn't listen if he did."

Babs doesn't believe that for a second, but she thinks Robin just might. This time, she kisses *him*; she even lets him touch her breast once through her blouse, before she pulls away, just enough to kiss him on the cheek.

She jogs back to her house. She doesn't look back, but she knows Robin's watching her as she goes.
