sg-1! what is this shiny thing in the distance?

If I was interested in watching a couple episodes of SG-1, what would you recommend to me to show it as fun and entertaining and not totally boring? So far all I've seen is a few Rodney bits, the first Vala episode, and some of this season. Not that I haven't tried a couple other random things, but ... there's a reason I'm asking for the criteria I am.

No, "Window of Opportunity" is the one where Jack and Teal'c get stuck in a time loop and have to relieve the day over and over again, like Groundhog's Day. It's hysterical. I don't think you need a huge amount of backstory to enjoy it, other than basic stuff like 1) Daniel can annoy the heck out of Jack when he geeks out over his ancient artifacts, 2) Teal'c is stoic, until he's pushed past his limits, 3) there is some vague UST thing going on between Jack and Sam.

Other good, fun episodes... let me see:

I love "Tin Man" from S1, which is one of my favourite standalone episodes. It's excellent & meaty, with some funny bits, although not exactly a laugh-riot.

"Upgrades" from S4 is quite funny, with good team-bonding moments.
