Okay, I know Twitch City's official dvd release date was Tuesday, but I'm assuming nobody has actually managed to get their hands on it yet? Amazon.ca looks like it has "usually ships within 4 to 6 weeks" note, which is ... pretty ridiculous, actually. The only other place I see it for sale online is videoservicecorp.com, and I'm assuming that's not any better?

PEOPLE I WANT THIS SO MUCH. As soon as one of you get it, you have to promise to share ALL the details, okay? Look at the listed bonus features: Bonus Features: commentaries with Don McKellar and Special Guests. I want to hear that SO MUCH. Even if it is just Don McKellar being really boring and pretentious! Hell, especially if it is!

Also, I find the official product description kind of entertaining: Don McKellar, Molly Parker, and CKR are all listed with their most recent, high profile projects in the parentheses behind their names. Like someone who is picking up Twitch City is going to know these guys only as the chick from Deadwood, one of the Cylons from BSG, and a guy who won a Tony. Like, I'm pretty sure the core audience for this dvd is people who like Canadian stuff, you know?

(Oh, actually, I see it's listed on Amazon.com now, too, but ... not coming out until February? So like it is really out in Canada, or is that just a lying early release date? Someone prove the existance to me!)

Everyone who pre-ordered on Amazon got an email/status update that the date has been pushed back 4-6 weeks.

Looks like the company wants a Christmas release :/

Turns out I ordered it with S&A s2 and asked for them to be bundled, so I guess I'll get them both in early January, all going well.

Maybe earlier. I ordered mine w/ Wilby and asked for it to be bundled and in October they sent me Wilby and said that they'd ship the other one when it became available no charge.

I ordered Twitch City to be shipped with S&A s2, and was mightily confused when S&A s2 arrived on its lonesome - until I got the email. There was a lot of footstamping that day.

well, Chapters (http://www.chapters.indigo.ca/dvd/item/dvd-77885415629/778854156296/Twitch+City+Comp+Series+Eng?ref=Search+DVD%3a+'twitch+city'&sterm=twitch+city+-+DVD) says that it'll ship in 1-2 weeks, which is surely better than 4-6? I am going to order from Chapters right now, anyway, and hope that I get it before I see it in a store somewhere.

well, -i- didn't get an email telling me it was delayed. i just checked my where's my stuff and it hasn't shipped, but the delivery hasn't changed.

i ordered it from canada to be delivered to a canadian address, though.

I don't think Don McKellar is boring and pretentious! I just think he is awesome at PLAYING boring and pretentious (see: Slings and Arrows) and thus I would listen to him at that for hours!

i hope amazon.ca doesn't screw me over, and then i can find out. someone else will get it first, though. i am excited, but i think pretty much anyone involved in that show would make me squee. win!
