Bwaahahahaha! It's almost like non-sequiter theater or something! Like, you can't follow the sentence "I'm not a huge nerd" with a reference to YA, you just CAN'T. It's AGAINST THE LAW. OF REALITY.

*giggles* Man, you know, I loved the first run of YA and find BSG kind of, you know, boring, but I would not claim that this is because of insufficient nerd on my part!

Man, I bet they're sitting at home, reading their livejournals, and on f2 this shows up and their faces fall, just a little bit.

*heart*

Hee, because they are so much more likely to see the quote on my journal than the original on the hugely popular internet sensation?

HEEEEE! OH NERDBOYS. *hearts them*

(OTOH, it is *totally* legit to, when buying comics at the LCS, look down on the TOTAL GEEKS in the back with their Warhammer games. *grins*)

hee!

i must agree with caia_comica, though: there is a hierarchy! e.g. if > indicates "is geekier than", games workshop > forbidden planet. every time.

also, i am locked in a continuing debate with a rl friend as to whether or not "reads/writes fanfic" [me] is geekier than or less geeky than "role plays (the rl, round-a-table, owning of multi-sided dice kind) three times a week" [her]. side issues brought up every time this is aired include "owning blakes 7 on dvd" vs. "watching andromeda and liking it".

*giggles a lot* A hierarchy, yes, but it's still a mattr of degrees, right, not total disaffiliation.

i feel bad for the furries though!
