Today has been much more productive than I thought it would be! And by "productive", I mean I have spent the day chatting, making chocolate cupcakes and yummy sandwichs, and now I am rereading comics. Green Arrow: Quiver for the win! I sort of want to reread all the stuff I spent the summer reading, but I don't have anything at all on my computer, and my number of hard copy comics is regrettably limited. I need to reread Archer's Quest and the Batgirl series and maybe Superman/Batman and a little bit of Outsiders and I don't know what else! But I guess for right now Batgirl Year One and Y: the Last Man and the first volume of Runaways will do for me.

ARTHUR: But the plane...! With the bomb...! And Superman said...! And your grave is...! And Connor became...! And the League!...

OLLIE: Would you quit your babbling, you five-fathom fascist! Which reminds me -- when the hell are you going to allow for some democratic elections in down there?! Kings went out of style with religious persecution in this country -- a country you're a de facto part of, because water surrounds most of our borders!

"You wanna hang with the League, you start actin' like an American, and quite hidin' behind that 'cultural differences' garbage about why you're allowed to run some farcical, aquatic dictatorship right under our noses, when we're off fighting psychos in foreign countries for doing the same thing you are!

"You gotta anything you wanna sputter out now, I'm all ears.

It's not like the fact that Kevin Smith is a giant fanboy is news but it amused me anyway.

In conclusion, I want more fic about Tim and Cass. And ficbyzee said earlier that I could have a Roy of my very own, so please get on that request, universe. And here are Babs and Dick being gratuitously heterosexual. Aww.

I was doing the cupcake variation for Nigella Lawson's Coca-Cola cake from How to Be a Domestic Goddess -- it looks like there's a copy of the cake batter and icing recipes here (http://thebakersrack.blogspot.com/2006/01/coca-cola-cake.html). It makes 12 regular sized cupcakes, and bakes about 20 minutes. She says to pour the icing on as soon as you take the pan out of the oven. I had a little bit of trouble with that, which, uh, is why my cupcakes are ugly. But the icing sort of melts into the top of the cake, and it's very good. The cupcakes themselves are very moist, are subtle in their chocolateness, and don't taste as all like Coca-Cola.
