They're lying in bed; Fraser's on his back, hands folded over his stomach, and Ray's lying on his side, pillows bunched up under his elbow, where his head's resting.

"You gotta tell me what you're thinking, Fraser," Ray says quietly. "I gotta know what's in your head here."

Fraser closes his eyes, purses his lips. "I -- you know I love you."

"Yeah," says Ray; he knows that.

"I do, I love you, and I don't need anything else--"

"Fraser, I'm not asking you what you need." Fraser doesn't need hardly anything; he can run for fifty years on water and a bite of jerky. Fraser's been living on necessities his entire life; that's not the question.

Fraser opens his eyes. When he doesn't say anything after a few seconds, Ray pokes him in the chest.

"Love isn't ... it's not a zero-sum equation, Ray, you understand. I love you, but that doesn't mean I don't also love Ray Vecchio."

"Hmmm," says Ray.

Fraser bites his lip. He looks uncomfortable, so Ray's not surprised when the big words come out. "Human sexuality and psychology are of course highly complicated and individual, you know, and in some cultures--"

"Don't tell me an Inuit story about hot guy-on-guy-on-guy action, Fraser," Ray says, and Fraser falls silent again, a frown creasing his brow.

Ray is quiet, too, for a bit. He puts his hand on Fraser's chest, watches himself smoothing small circles on his skin. "Okay," he says finally.

"Ray, I don't want to do anything you're uncomfortable with--"

"Who's uncomfortable?" says Ray, and he smiles down at Fraser. "You love me, I love you, I wanna see you happy--"

"It's not that I'm not happy--"

"I wanna see you even happier," Ray says firmly. "You love Vecchio, he loves you, he'll make you happier. Everybody wins."

Fraser's eyes are wide as he stares at Ray, peering at him like he's trying to make sure this isn't some kind of freaky joke, that Ray's not just making this up, that he really means it. But he doesn't seem to find that, anyway, and after a moment his mouth breaks into a smile, small but perfectly bright. He rolls onto his side, stretches to kiss Ray fervently on the mouth.

"Perhaps," Fraser murmurs against Ray's cheek, "perhaps you and Ray may forge a deeper connection as well."

Ray laughs at that. "Oh, yeah, you'd get off on that, wouldn't you?"

"I would indeed," Fraser says, a chuckle in his voice, and then he's kissing Ray again.
