1) My broken computer works again and has been returned to me. Yay.

2) I interviewed for an internship on Wednesday, and found out yesterday I didn't get it.

3) I'm starting both school (part-time) and work (also part-time) within the next two weeks.

4) I just defriended a whole lot of people, from a mixture of reasons including falling behind while computer was broken; expecting my time online to decrease soon; and general fandom interests changing.

5) I just rewatched French Kiss last week and it made me want fanfic. Which led me to the conclusion that I kind of feel that way about any romantic comedy, really, when it has characters I like. "But when happens after they kiss?" You can't just cut away to them kissing in a vineyard. Bleh." With "kissing in a vineyard" replaced as the case warrants, of course.

6) It's Saturday night, so I'm sure half of you are off having a life or something. Everybody else: share with me a piece of fannish joy? Pictures, news, rumors, recs, whatever has MADE YOUR LIFE for this week. Tell me!

I have been avoiding reading about the new fall shows all summer, because I hate getting all worked up and then having to wait months and months to see things. But TV Guide came out with its Fall Preview Guide, and I decided it was time to take a look.

Dude, I want to watch EVERYTHING. There's so much stuff out there that looks interesting and has actors I adore! You should see my list! I'm actually going trough and clearing out my TiVo this weekend so there's room for all the previews I want to check out. \o/ I don't remember the last time I was this excited about premieres. Yes, I do. The year Smallville and Alias premiered. :D

I'm trying to massage a Billy/Gus bunny into submission... I'm new to the whole type/revise/revise some more thing and desperately wondering whether I'll ever get past the opening 3000 words. Uh, in comixspeak, it's all turning into decompressed story-telling (one of my pet peeves when done badly, what's happen to getting all your detail into 22 pages?) *geeks mournfully*

I've covered my monitor in Billy Tallent. I got distracted and made shiny instead of writing and lost my mojo.

I'm also very pleased that people liked the dS wingfic. I've got a new beta and she's pushing more and I think it's making my writing better.

He is indeed very pretty. The whole thing turned into a huge mess, so I'm going to leave it and untangle it when I've worked out what I was actually trying to do.

A good beta is kind of like massage. They prod and pull and you think it hurts. And then... it all works so much better.
