You know, I almost didn't bother reading Agnes and the Hitman, because I was so disappointed by Don't Look Down, but I'm a little over halfway through now, and it's actually pretty awesome. Thumbs up!

(Using this icon for this entry actually reminds me of something, which is that I got a package from fox1013 yesterday, which along with Big Brother episodes and YA novels and a "Vote Petrelli" button and ComicCon random swag, also included this stuffed Giant Microbe. Which meant as soon as I got onto AIM yesterday, I had the opportunity to IM Fox and say "YOU GAVE ME SYPHILIS!" For the WIN.)

also, Agnes and the Hitman is fucking fantastic - I loved every single moment of it (then started rereading it immediately).

and Giant Microbes are totally FTW - I own several, and have enjoyed given special ones to friends/family (the reactions when the gift it opened is the very best part!)

I finished Agnes and the Hitman Friday, and yes: it was great! I was as surprised and thrilled by it as I was disappointed with Don't Look Down.

I also enjoyed Agnes and the Hitman way more - I think it seemed like the emotional continuity was a lot more consistent in that one? Wait, that sounds way more technical than I usually am. rephrase: I didn't go "wait, you're doing what NOW?" to the lead character in this one. Hee. But yes, I liked it a lot. *looks forward to hearing what you think when you're done with it* (And I LOVE the cover and the tackily wonderful pattern under the dust jacket. Hawesome!)

Also, your package from Fox sounds super nifty. NICE. :D
