--And the thing is, if this is my actual new fandom, I am going to be pissed, you guys. Because! What! Look, I have been in fandom not quite six years now, and as many other shows or things I have read/enjoyed/talked about in that time, I have had two Real Fandoms. I had two good years with Smallvile and Due South and me have been OTP for three and a half plus now. And I am HAPPY with that! I have no need for a new fandom! Me + dS = the love that never dies!

(And, you know, leaving SV and getting together with dS was some VERY STRESSFUL times in my life. liviapenn had to give me a speech about the Circle of (Fandom) Life at Escapade that year, all "sometimes antelopes fandoms have to die so new ones can live!" The guilt, you guys.)

All of which is to basically say: OMG GERARD WAY STOP IT WITH YOUR LITTLE FACE ALREADY OKAY JESUS CHRIST.

...Of course it's also possible I've overreacting for no reason. I do that sometimes. Maybe in a week this obsession will leave me and I'll settle back into my normal ways and just click on your guys' cut-tags and give you thumbs up occasionally. I could deal with that.

(Shit, I really do need more icons. Just laughing Pete and WWII Gerard is not cutting it. HEY, if someone wanted to make me a Gerard/coffee or Mikey/coffee or Ways/coffee OTP icon, you could be my bestest friend, okay?)

you know, i have gone through this fandom switch panic many times now, myself. i have come to accept that i am not so much multifannish like minervacat as i am a fannish serial monogamist. it's hard, because when i'm in the throes of any fandom, i can't imagine loving another fandom, another otp, nearly as much.

that said, i don't leave fandoms. i'm not leaving due south and i haven't left harry potter or any of them. i just go with the flow. there's no reason to censor what you're feeling. fandom is best when it's sweep-you-up exciting.

and loving gerard doesn't mean you love fraser any less.

and you'll be one of the few and proud who might actually read the ds/mcr crossover [Unknown site tag] and i are writing. i, for one, find that exciting.

i watched "buried on sunday" last night and oh how paul gross is typecast as an adorably crazy and wonderful guy.

also, i just started watching the first episode of "the west wing" and omg, it looks so much like a sorkin show.
