There are ten possible intra-band pairings in MCR. There are some I like a lot more than others, but when it comes down to it? My god, there is so combination of people in this band that is not completely freaking adorable.

Well, it's nothing well put together, or anything, but it's all because they were spending so much time together during Gee's shaky first steps into sobriety and it just got to be...habit. To stay around Gerard and make sure he wasn't lonely, or depressed, and maybe it was more for them after awhile then it was for Gerard but it just felt better to have him where they could all touch and make sure he was all right. And, is someone dropped off for a nap, or something, there was someone else around to pick up the slack.

Yes! And none of them are really cognizant of it, or anything, just that is feels better to be together than apart and that it doesn't really bother anyone that sometimes people go off on their own, or in pairs, etc., because they always come back and it's not like the rest weren't invited it just happened to fall out that way. People think it's weird and they don't get it! "What are you talking about? Doesn't everyone cuddle with their drummer and guitarists before a show?"

I continue not to really get Ray, but that Ray/Mikey pic is like the hottest thing ever. I meant to comment on it last time you posted it. It just makes me go white noise in my brain.

Also, omg, Erica, what did you do to me? I was doing so well at being totally ambivalent about MCR and then you got all squeeful and I folded like a frickin' deck of cards. You need to come over and show me the Murder Scene thing and we can go to Powell's to go Gerard hunting and I can tell you about my obsession with Bob Bryar's lips. And maybe you can help me understand Ray Toro.

You know, honestly, I think watching all of Life on the Murder Scene will help you understand Ray Toro! (I'm asking for the dvd for my birthday/christmas, and I'll be really surprised if I don't get it, because my list is small and specific? So we will definitely have to do that if that happens!

That Bob/Ray pic looks to me like they've just had a fight about something, possibly Bob being really friendly and touching Ray all the time and Ray is just getting more and more turned on and hating himself for falling for Bob who is clearly straight omg. And finally one day Ray is just like "motherfucker get off me, my hair is not your toy!" and Bob looks all hurt and goes even more silent for a couple of days. and then Ray feels really shitty about it. Because Bob is so undemanding and awesome and only plays with Ray's hair a little bit, really.

And meanwhile Gerard is like "dude, fix it, please" and Ray's like "look, mind your own business, dude." And finally Gerard gets fed up and one night when they're staying in a hotel he switches rooms so that Ray and Bob are together, and he doesn't tell anyone about it, just sends Bob into the room with a shove and then has everyone else stand outside and block the doorway.

So Bob makes this surprised and hurt face when he sees Ray and goes "oh, um, sorry, I'll just--" and Ray just bursts out with "look, I'm sorry, I just, I can't, you're straight and I can't deal with that and I know I'm an asshole, okay? Just please don't be sad anymore." And Bob's like "wait, what?" And Ray goes "I'm totally nuts for you, okay, I'm sorry" and Bob smacks him upside the head and then kisses him. It's the most amazing kiss ever and when they break for air Bob's like "not straight, for the record, and totally nuts for you, moron" and Ray goes "oh."
