cidercupcakes and I have decided what the world needs is lots and lots of 1950s AUs. With diners! And high schools! And basically all the awesome parts of Grease and none of the boring parts.
Seriously, there are like eight million different stories you could tell in this universe and we want to read everyone. A FEW EXAMPLES FOR YOU:
+ Bruce Springsteen is a short order cook in the diner! Patti Scialfa is the bad girl! She steals his stupid little paper hat and he thinks it's charming even if no one else in Repressie 50s Suburbia does! They make out in her car!
+ Pete the jock and Mikey the weird kid! Pete gives Mikey his pin in the front seat of his car when they're at the drive-in! Mikey wears Pete's stupid ugly varsity sweater around over his freaky clothes all the time!
+ Gerard is the kid who goes up to Lookout Point with a boy and the boy won't take no for an answer and Gerard slaps his face and demands to be taken home! But the next day at school Gerard's reputation is ~*ruined*~! Gerard has to walk the halls and just pretend he doesn't hear all the whispering they're doing about him! Frankie gets into fights with boys in the locker room over his HONOR!
+ Greta and, like, Ray Toro or somebody have the Innocent Adorable Courtship of "Can I Carry Your Books Home For You?" Which culminates in the very exciting peck on the cheek outside her doorstep! Later they go to the diner and order one milkshake with two straws!
+ Patrick is the Really Very Nice Boy (Everyone Thinks He's Such a Good Kid)! But between being friends with Pete and the flirting from Vicky-T he is being tempted to a whole nother WORLD!
+ Vicky-T is a bad girl! She and Patti have a gang! They have leather jackets and tease their hair and smoke cigarettes together outside the school! In the morning before homeroom they tape up their hems a whole inch so their skirts are shorter than everyone else!
+ Also it's possible that everybody fights vampires. VAMPIRES MAKE EVERYTHING AWESOME, TRUFAX.
