Christmas Eve! In my house, this equals all of us sitting around being completely mellow while my mother runs around like a chicken with her head cut off, freaking out about everything. It's sweet.

[livejournal.com profile] pre_emptive has me planning to write a Pete Wentz/Ashlee Simpson story. I don't even know, you guys. It's going to wait until the new year, and me getting settled into Eugene and all, but. I'm going to have to do actual research on Ashlee Simpson. Tentative title: The Aesthetics of Dick.

And then after that maybe I will get through my rewatch of Farscape, and think about Pete/Chiana!

(Sigh, FARSCAPE. Truly you are my favorite TV show of all time. *HEART*

No one else could ever HOPE to compare. JOHN/AERYN, BITCHES. 4-evah!)

Uh. Last night I realized that Rebel Rebel is truly the Gerard Way song of my heart. In the sense that it is now forever connected in my brain with his character. Although I would also certainly not be adverse to hearing him cover it, to be honest.

HOT TRAMP I LOVE YOU SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

How are you guys doing? Waiting for the yuletide archive to open? Drinking eggnog? Thinking about Brendon Urie's stupid face? Come around my campfire! We can sing festive songs, all alone on the internet!

eggnog! (or rather, soynog!) that is a great idea for making this farce of a "family gathering" tolerable!

I actually kind of despise eggnog, so I am counting on Coca-Cola myself! Not seasonal, but still good.

really? what don't you like about it? I cannot fathom disliking it D: and are you drinking "classic" coke or one of its variants? I am a recent convert to the cult of Coke Zero and srsly, that is good shit!

I ... the taste? It always tastes weirdly like, I don't know, that medicine little kids take for ear infections or something.

Classic Coke all the way! I am horribly fucking addicted, it's really sad. I kind of really missed when they used have the non-diet Coke with Lime available all the time, though, because that was the best.

Man, now I want to go rewatch season 2.

Hahaha, I wondered, and then I gave myself a stern talking to about how the internet is NOT actually all about me. I just don't understand how he can be a real boy. (I mean, for certain values of "boy," clearly.) Or how he can be so filled with sparkles and win.

I don't know that I have ever been as emotionally invested in a tv couple as John and Aeryn and their totally fucked up, amazing, complicated, insane, stupid love. They made me cry. Repeatedly. Even during re-watches. And I *never* cry at tv, ever.

Oh GOD. I do cry at tv, but not super often. But Farscape? Jesus Christ. The season 3 finale had me sobbing so hard it was a little scary.

(I actually cry more on rewatches, too. I'm already prepping myself for the next viewings.)

God, I was just watching the Rolling Stone interview where Brendon and Ryan are clearly in the midst of HUGE ENORMOUS FIGHT which they are pretending is about Guitar Hero, but is actually obviously about, like, Ryan's daddy issues or something instead. And all I could think was "Brendon! He laughs with his *entire body* every time, and Ryan can not stay mad at that!" Ugh.

The necklace is -- in my opinion -- a mildly terrible episode which I have watched a million times because of the last stupid scene. And the number of times I have gotten choked up at the end of Look At The Princess, with the baby and the compatibility test, and.... I am not a person who remembers the names of episodes of television, but I do for Farscape. Love love love.

I have not seen that interview at all!

All I can say is: CRICHTONS DON'T CRY ... OFTEN. OR FOR VERY LONG.

It's here (http://xxletsxxdiscoxx.buzznet.com/user/video/play/1213381/rolling-stone-interview-with-panic-at-the/?p=2). The best part is probably when Spencer tries to distract the interviewer by explaining how he and Ryan accidentally set the stripper-next-door's house on fire as kids. Or when Jon mentions how much he smokes up. Or the fact that Brendon and Ryan are in love, and also are furious with each other, simultaneously.

The episode where Aeryn meets Jon's dad. Holy crap. Could I cry harder at that? No. No way.

The link doesn't work for me, but it's the Rolling Stone one, right? In which case, my favorite is the part where Ryan's turning away, clearly hurt, and Brendon reaches over and strokes his neck. I wish someone would write fic about that argument they're clearly having, and Brendon trying to comfort Ryan even though he's pissed, himself.

25/12/07 19:36 (UTC)
Posted by [identity profile] harriet-vane.livejournal.com
Yeah, that one. (It's here (http://youtube.com/watch?v=Vk064nSwPCI) on youtube. I don't know why the links are weird.)

Brendon's TRYING to fix things with Ryan, I think, and the way Ryan twists away from his hand just kills me. I am SO curious to know what they're fighting about there. I am also in love with how Spencer and Jon keep trying to jump in and cover the fact that Ryan's being a total bitch.

I wish that fic existed, too. Their group dynamic is endlessly fascinating to me.

That entire interview pretty much kills me. I think Ryan can be really, really cruel and mean when he's pissed, and Brendon strikes me as the type who folds pretty easily in most arguments because he just can't take it at all when the people he loves are mad at him (except for a few important things, where he won't fold at all).

Brendon with his nervous little laugh and his desperate attempts to patch things up makes my heart hurt a little.

I use to have an icon made from that second picture.

And yes, OTP 4EVAR.

Currently, I am sitting here, hitting F5 a lot, crocheting and waiting to find out when I can start cooking the turkey and the rest of dinner for tonight.

As we are not all here, I don't want to start too early. Little turkey only means 2 hours to roast. *nods*

John/Aeyrn are just... they're just... no, I have no words. Well, they're basically the only het OTP I have, which has to mean something.

I'm... refreshing LJ every two seconds and rereading the 13 pages I have of Panic gsf, trying to decide if this is a sensible story to actually be trying to write.
