1) 1950s AU. Still musicians! Still touring! Still all that! Just 1950s birth of rock n' roll awesomeness. *flashing back to the on-the-road scenes in Walk the Line* UGH BOYS.
2) Silent movie industry AU! Gerard the silent movie idol/Bob the camera guy otp? Side pairing of Pete the writer/Mikey the PA/Alicia the costume/make-up chick ANGST.
3) Oh my god, the one where everybody is working for the summer in Antarctica! A couple of them can be scientists, but the rest of them are support at McMurdo. BANDOM ON THE ICE.
4) The MCR boys are a family of con men. Mikey falls in love with Pete, but Pete finds out he's a con men before Mikey can tell him and REJECTS HIM because he thinks he's USING HIM. Somehow there is a happy ending. (Can you tell I've seen The Lady Eve eight million times?)

1) When Elena died.
2) When Gerard was first getting sober, the very worst of it, the first couple days, he didn't want Mikey around at all. Mikey forced his way in, anyway, because his brother needed him, but Gerard wouldn't look at him, just turned on his back and kept saying "'M sorry, Mikey" until Frank and Ray kicked Mikey out.
3) When Mikey sat on his bed at the Paramour and finally told Gerard just how scared he was.
4) When Mikey got married, right after the ceremony, Gerard gave over and wrapped him into a bear hug and didn't let go for a really long time.
5) Every single time they've watched Edward Scissorhands together.
Five things that Bob kind of loves about girl!Gerard, forsecrethappiness
1) She's really beautiful. Is it okay to say that? Is that demeaning? It's not like Bob likes her just for her looks, he really loves and admres tons of things about her! But he's known her for years and years and now and sometimes when he looks up he still has to just draw in his breath at the sight of her.
2) That time in the morning after her first sip of coffee but before the middle of the mug, when she's not quite the living dead but not quite awake either, just sleepy and slow and soft.
3) The way she can't watch a movie without talking through 75% of it, but she still gets mad if you say something over her favorite line.
4) She can (and will) talk about comic books for five hours straight.
5) The way she laughs when she really means it, loud and awkward and totally unlady-like, with not a single trace of self-consciousness.
