Apropos of nothing: there is no character in the entire history of fandom that I feel more strongly about their affinity for trans and genderqueer individuals than I do about Gerard Way. It is seriously an integral part of his make-up for me! I can believe under some circumstances that Gerard might self-identify as straight -- but that his sexuality doesn't include transwomen, at the very least? No way.

I'm actually having a conversation with etben on AIM right now on a realization I just had in regard to the crossdressing thing, which is -- Gerard makes a hot chick, right? And he knows that, he's known that since art school at least, he's been confident about that. That's way, way, way longer than he's known how to be a hot dude!
