Yesterday someone on my friends list -- someone I know just from bandom -- was talking about their fanfiction plot kinks, and one of the things they mentioned was when people get punched in the face. Those escalating arguments, where it's all meaningful and personal and it just crosses the line and ... yeah. I was like "OMIGOD YES" and then I had to go straight to youtube and rewatch the beginning of Mountie on the Bounty Part 1.

Seriously, you know, I might not think about them every day or talk about them often any more, but Fraser and RayK still own a piece of my heart, and I don't think that is ever going to change.

So all you people who agree with the first paragraph but don't know due South? You should go watch that clip. MY OTP, IT IS BREAKING UP OH NOES. THE AAAAAAAAAANGST. LUCKILY THEY HAVE AN ENTIRE TWO-PART EPISODE BEGINNING WHERE THEY LEARN HOW MUCH THEY NEED/LOVE EACH OTHER AND HOW TO WORK TOGETHER AND ALSO HAVE SOME UNDERWATER KISSIN'. I didn't even see the show until a couple of years ago, and got interested in the fandom really late, and yet...they're still, somehow, just about the pinnacle of OTPness. They're amazing. Dude, Hannah pimped me into dS and Bandom at the same time. Which basically means that I got into dS as the entire fandom was busy being distracted by pretty pretty punk-pop boys and was sort of left loving it but hanging with like one foot in the door, rest of me running to play with those shiny band boys with everyone else.
