AWESOME THINGS ARE AWESOME:

1) I finally got around to listening to both This Is Ivy League and the latest Mindless Self Indulgence album for the first time, and they were both totally awesome. *____* I think my crush on Ryland just grew 100%.

2) I added the DownloadThemAll! extension to Firefox two days ago and I am already wondering how on earth I survived so long without it. What other add-ons do I really really desperately need and just don't know it? Mostly I just use gmail manager and forecastfox.

3) I found some amazing ebook torrents earlier, oh my gosh. I only selected a tiny fraction of the books available in each torrent, but that still leaves me with a couple hundred things.

4) &BLAYNE;

5) Cheese fries om nom NOM.

What is this app? I must know about it!

(Also, did you upgrade to 3 or are you still surfing 2?)

It should come up right away when you google!

I'm still using 2.

Is there any way to use that extension without having the toolbar button right next to the address bar and reducing the space the address bar takes up?

It doesn't add anything to to the toolbar for me.

I have FastVideoDownload which lets me pull off things like youtube, livejournal addons and an australian english dictionary installed so it won't try to tell me that 'flavour' is wrong. \o/

My only beef with DownloadThemAll (which has saved my life for years now) is that if people are linking to bigger picture in LJ scrapbooks, I can't grab them, because they don't have extensions? I can't figure out if there's a way to do it anyway...

My favorite extensions:

AdBlock Plus (which I'm betting you already have, but if not, GEEEEET EEEEET.)

Tab Mix Plus, which gives one all kinds of groovy options with tabs;

Fire Gestures--it took me about ten minutes to become wholly and utterly addicted to Mouse Gestures, and this seems to be the best current m.g. extension;

LiveJournal Addons, mostly for the ability to unfold comment threads and open "more inside" content in the same tab;

Auto Context: select any word or text string, right-click, automagically be presented with an option to search for that word/text, in a new tab, in any of the search engines you have installed in the drop-down in the upper right corner of the browser (whatever they call that thingie). *SO* much easier, when you need to Google something (or look for it in Amazon, or whatever), than the usual select, copy, open new tab, paste, etc. etc.

Nuke Anything Enhanced: essential for quickly getting rid of icons, graphics, photos, etc. upon which you do not wish your eyes to dwell for more than the instant it takes to seize the mouse and right-click with your trembling finger.

(And I hug you, with big congratulatory hugs, for getting all the damn assignments DONE DONE DONE!!)

Cannot live without Super DragAndGo (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/137). Instead of right-click "new tab," just click, drag a fraction, let go, and it opens a new tab. Also if you do the same thing to an image it saves it automatically. I have been know to install this on other people's computers if I have to use them for more than five minutes.
