1) Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson are a really perfect example of two people whose weird voices I love individually but who sound oh my lord godawful doing duets. (With each other, I mean. I love plenty of duets they do with other people.)

2) I am sort of totally in love with Duck MacDonald. The fact that he's gay is totally not a problem. I just want him to marry me and bring me flowers and smile at me and hug me when I cry and tuck his chin on the top of my head. I don't think that's so much to ask.

I have a weird and completely unsupported theory that Benton Fraser is prone to use the word "prick" when using vulgar slang for penis, rather than the more common "cock" alternative.

I have been rereading Dinosaur Comics all week because of moireach and annakovsky. DAMN THEM. Also, uh, last night in Kovsky's journal I seem to have written a CKR/T-Rex crossover. Uh, apparently they have poker nights together where they gossip about how much they like Kovsky! And then they get drunk and make out and play scrabble! Who knew?

So I just spent a really ridiculous amount of time making screencaps of "Vault." You might ask why, but I say: WHY NOT.

I was actually trying to go exclusively for Frannie-ness here, but the pretty of season two Fraser kept distracting me, so it's pretty mixed.

Also, I think this episode must be very very high up on the scale of "Wow, Ray Vecchio, you are really the best friend ever for not MURDERING FRASER RIGHT WHERE HE STANDS." That's love, people.

--Also, while I still that dvd in, I just rewatched the very beginning scenes again, and OH. Frannie and Fraser and Ray in the Riv = <3<3<3.

Ray handing Fraser each and every piece of evidence, and Fraser frowning over it all, and then turning it for Dief to read? CUTEST THING EVER.

Also, Ray? I love you? But "But trust me, no matter what you wear, people will never respect you."? That is a BITCH ASS THING TO SAY to your sister, dude.

The little "I think it's cute" and "Thank you kindly" exchange between Frannie and Fraser is also quite adorable; I really think this is one of those first and second season episodes where it really seems to like Fraser could easily flirt with and/or be attracted to Frannie, and it's the fact that she's Ray's sister and nothing else at all that keeps him from doing so.

Finally, I wish Thatcher had forced Fraser to wear that hat ALL THE TIME for the entire rest of the series. He looks goofy! And also Russian.

Maybe I will go get my season 1 dvds and make some caps of Frannie from "Pizzas and Promises" and "The Deal" tonight.

i'd have his babies. seriously.

And, uh, then I tried to do "The Deal" and got even more distracted. Frannie, pretty pretty Fraser half-naked and beat up, and VECCHIO above all -- I would totally do EVERYBODY ON THIS SHOW. Man.

(The entire scene of Fraser getting beaten and the entire scene with Vecchio and Zuko in the gym are two of my favorite things on this show ever, seriously, and they get me every time -- but, oh, that little moment after the latter, when Vecchio comes back out and Fraser is there waiting for him in the car, holding his gun -- oh, that does something to me. Love.)
