...I'm still not sure exactly what that is. But when I say this entire thing scares me a little, well. By "a little" I mean "what the hell?" Just to be clear.

Mmm, yes, that is food. I have a yummy cranberry pudding recipe made even yummier by the fact that it's topped with warm hard sauce: butter, sugar, cream, and vanilla. In fact, I'll bet the sauce in that recipe would be improved with extra cream...
