musesfool, who did it several days ago. This was actually pretty hard, really, because I was very strict with myself about going to school, and only brought a small, random assortment of all my books. Fortunately, I have about a thousand all-time favorites.
1. Choose five of your all time favorite books.
2. Take the first sentence of the first chapter and make a list in your journal.
3. Don't reveal the author or the title of the book.
4. Now everyone try and guess.
1. When he was nearly thirteen, my brother Jem got his arm badly broken at the elbow. To Kill a Mockingbird, by Harper Lee. (zeplum)
2. Mr. Dunworthy opened the door to the laboratory and his spectacles promptly steamed up. Doomsday Book by Connie Willis. (tzikeh)
3. This is my favorite book in all the world, though I have never read it. The Princess Bride by William Goldman. (doyle_sb4)
4. Lyra and her daemon moved through the darkening hall, taking care to keep to one side, out of sight of the kitchen. The Golden Compass by Philip Pullman. (nestra, liz_chan)
