Seriously, the entire back of my hand is covered with teethmarks from me biting my hand eight million times during the movie, starting with the needle through River's skull and not ending until "Stand down."

I'm pretty sure the movie is chock full of flaws and annoying things somewhere, but I just saw it on midnight on opening day in a crammed theater full of fans seeing their first new canon in three yers, so at this point I'm way too close to be able to say anything but SQUEEBLE.

DEAR INTERNET, GOD BLESS YOU FOR NOT SPOILING ME IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM FOR THIS MOVIE. YOU ROCK.

The whole scene where he is cleaning her badass barfighting wounds I WAS TOTALLY WAITING FOR THEM TO MAKE OUT ALREADY.

Also, Simon loves her SO MUCH that even crazy ass Alliance operatives can see it! It just emits from his face! Like radiation!

I also appreciate how River can watch half the entire crew get mowed down by zombies and not do anything, and then Simon does the equivalent of TRIPPING AND FALLING and suddenly she is SUPERGIRL.

I swear to you the rest of the movie was blurry and I too was still crying walking out of the theatre. I was sure for a few minutes, in fact, that Joss was just gonna kill off EVERYone except (maybe) Jayne. Jaheezus.

The only happiness I mustered was when the doors slid open to reveal bloody River... yow. That was awesome.

But... Wash...

And I'm not even a big Wash *fan*, I mean, I like him and all but the character I identify with is Mal. It's just... it's Wash-- And Zoe... Zoe's HURT and BROKEN. AND... *SOB*

The only thing I almost slipped on was River's age. Like, I walked away the first time, and the impact of the movie was SO BIG that all I could think of was how many people I'd written having sex with a sixteen-year-old.
