schmericaThought experiment of the day: trying to imagine Hard Core Logo as an all-woman band.
I have some specific points that I think would be really interesting there -- for one thing, I think that a lot of stuff wouldn't change; the agressiveness, anger and general fucked-up-edness would all be equally present; for another, I do think the Joe/Billy relationship would be more publicly, blatantly sexual, and I think female sexuality would be a really important tool in Joe Dick's Ways of Fucking With the World -- but I can't really concentrate on any of them for long. I'm too stuck on the idea of JOE DICK: FEMINIST ICON.

OMG BULLDYKE (http://pics.livejournal.com/adrienne2/pic/00011zga/g1) and OMFG WELL OF LONELINESS JOE WAH and spat out several drawings of Jo Dick and Billie Tallent before the frenzy departed.
